Madia will present “Navigating the compliance landscape for lenders and dealers” on Tuesday, May 19, at 1:45 p.m. local time. Session topics include:
- Understanding the implications of new dealer regulatory requirements;
- Practical tips for better compliance workflows, staffing and technology; and
- What the industrywide bankruptcy wave means for contract law.
Madia is special counsel in Sheppard Mullin’s Washington office and has more than 15 years of experience in consumer finance and fintech across the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the firm in 2024, he served was a senior legal adviser at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a special assistant U.S. attorney in Washington and roles in private practice.
He advises banks, non-bank lenders and fintechs on regulatory, enforcement and litigation, with experience handling government investigations, supervisory exams and compliance strategy. Madia focuses on helping institutions navigate complex consumer protection laws and regulatory frameworks.
